"D'YE HEAR THERE"
In 1962 a vision began to develop in the minds of Mr.'s Bicknell, Crawford, Kavanaugh and Nicholson. What they envisioned was a Richmond based Sea Cadet Corps that would alleviate the need to travel to Vancouver, the nearest Sea Cadet Corps location at that time. After years of work and a great deal of perseverance, their dreams and hard work were rewarded. In 1964 a new Corps was formed, to be known as the "195 Royal Canadian Sea Cadet Corps Bicknell", named after one of its founding principles, Mr. Bicknell. Mr. Bicknell was a Harbourmaster for the port of Vancouver and a major factor with Cates Towing in North Vancouver.
